Dog Squad Volunteer Requirements. You must complete Part 1 (online) and Part 2 (hands on at shelter) of Dog Walking Orientation to participate in all Dog Squad opportunities. Please sign up for training sessions using the orange button/link below. Volunteers must be at least 18 to handle the leash while walking the dog.
Step 1: We are excited for you to begin your volunteer journey with Operation Kindness. We are currently accepting volunteers ages 16 and up. We are always looking for volunteers of all backgrounds and experience levels. Step 2: Next, complete a registration form and pay your volunteer fee of $45 per person.

Volunteers must provide a minimum of 8 hours per month to be considered active. New volunteers must commit to at least nine months or 72 hours of service.
